NEWS AND NAILS

First, allow me to direct you to a super interview of Moi, located at Veronika Asks:

Hope you like it!

Nails in the news recently: Our esteemed Florida governor vetoed legislation to increase training requirements for nail techs and cosmetologists. Now why would he deny this? Because it’s an issue that concerns women? Why would he not want safety standards raised for this industry? I cannot conceive why our top politician wouldn’t care to protect his constituents by raising the bar for beauticians and manicurists. Not only that, but the Florida Board of Cosmetology has approved a new rule to relax state inspection requirements for beauty and nail salons. What this means, dear consumers, is that you’d better come prepared to do your own on-site evaluation where you get your nails done.

On the writing front, new ideas are beginning to trickle into my brain. I’m not ready to work on them yet; just registering them for now. But it’s a sign that at some point, the creative tension will build until I have to let it gush out at the keyboard.

Gotta take the dog to the groomer’s today, then rush around to the post office and food store. I’m hoping to get the errands done before the tropical downpours we’re expecting. It’s already overcast outside.
