I read the first hundred pages in the new Harry Potter book last night. The story flew by fast, getting into the action right away. No spoilers here. I am not reading any of the reviews online or any listserve entries that mention Harry Potter, until I get to the end. I don’t want to know what happens ahead of time.

We just got back from another weekend in Orlando. It’s so hot there that we didn’t do any outdoor activities. Like it’s around 98 degrees, hotter than Fort Lauderdale where we get mitigating ocean breezes. We had new furniture delivered in our condo and I promptly had an allergic reaction, sneezing constantly, my nose running all day. It was awful. I hope the fumes disperse by our next visit.

My page proofs for Perish by Pedicure  mass market edition (due out in Nov.) were waiting for me upon my arrival home, along with advance reading copies for Killer Knots  (coming in Dec.). I’ll have to deal with the ARCs later. Right now, I have to catch up on bills, yard work, food shopping, etc. Just three days away, and I got so far behind! Back to work....
